Sometimes I wonder if I am the only person who can feel lonely even when there are people all around.
My name is Elena and I just wanted to write down my thoughts. I am not looking for sympathy or trying to complain about my life. I simply have one of those days when there are too many feelings inside, and writing seems easier than keeping everything to myself.
Life can be strange. You wake up, go to work, talk to people, smile, do your usual things, and everything seems completely normal. But then evening comes. You return home, everything becomes quiet, and suddenly you realize how much you miss having someone special beside you.
I miss simple things. I miss having someone ask me how my day really was. I miss long conversations in the evening, laughing about something silly, making plans together, or simply sitting next to someone without needing to say anything.
Maybe this is why people turn to online dating services. Sometimes it is not because they desperately want a relationship right now. Sometimes they just hope to find another person who feels the same way. Someone who also misses warmth, attention, affection, and that special feeling of being important to another person.
I know that many men meet women online today, and perhaps it has become completely normal. Our lives are busy, people live in different cities and countries, and sometimes the person who could become important to you is thousands of kilometers away.
